Twitter Accepts Elon Musk’s Offer to Buy Company, Deal Will Close “Within Days Or Weeks”

Twitter has accepted Elon Musk’s offer to buy the social media company. The deal is expected to close within a matter of days or weeks. And liberals are melting down across the country.

“On behalf of X Holdings I, Inc., X Holdings II, Inc. and Elon R. Musk (the “Musk Parties”), we write to notify you that the Musk Parties intend to proceed to closing of the transaction contemplated by the April 25, 2022 Merger Agreement, on the terms and subject to the conditions set forth therein and pending receipt of the proceeds of the debt financing,” Musk wrote when he changed course.

A Twitter spokesman said: “We received the letter from the Musk parties which they have filed with the SEC. The intention of the Company is to close the transaction at $54.20 per share.”

According to The Daily Mail: “Musk is expected to own the company within a matter of weeks, if not days.

Musk acknowledged his abrupt reversal and agreement to buy Twitter in a tweet suggesting that he is now eager to complete the transaction.

“Buying Twitter is an accelerant to creating X, the everything app,” Musk tweeted on Tuesday night, hours after he offered to complete the buyout at the originally agreed price of $44 million.

According to Newsbusters, liberals are not happy:

Adam Parkhomenko, a self-described strategist for the Democratic Party, tweeted that Musk would shut liberal accounts down to silence them.

“Elon Musk didn’t like that we were all laughing at him for being a gutless chickenshit so he’s going to buy twitter and shut us all up,” he tweeted.

NBC News journalist Ben Collins tweeted that the deal would eliminate “guardrails” on the platform.

“If Musk is really taking this site private, there are no real guardrails anymore. Rulemaking can be capricious,” he tweeted. “He can elevate any idea or person he wants through recommendations and UX choices and there will be no oversight on this as a private company.”

Collins also claimed that authoritarian governments will benefit from Musk’s acquisition of the Big Tech giant.

“…Abandonment of traditional moderation policies. Stuff like Pizzagate — pushed by bots and liars — will be protected. Disinfo campaigns will top trending topics and drive news cycles,” he added. “Authoritarian governments will have a field day.”
