Trump Silences George W Bush: “He shouldn’t be lecturing anybody, the World Trade Center came down during his watch”

Former President Donald Trump put former President George W. Bush on notice after Bush seemed to take some veiled swipes in Trump’s direction. Unlike Trump, all the former presidents hide behind a weird doublespeak when they bash each other.

Not Trump. He says what he means and he means what he says. He was by far the most transparent, especially with the press, President we have seen in years, if not ever.

He said of Bush: “So interesting to watch former President Bush, who is responsible for getting us into the quicksand of the Middle East (and then not winning!).

“As he lectures us that terrorists on the “right” are a bigger problem than those from foreign countries that hate America and that are pouring into our Country right now.

“If that is so, why was he willing to spend trillions of dollars and be responsible for the death of perhaps millions of people?

“He shouldn’t be lecturing us about anything.

“The World Trade Center came down during his watch.

“Bush led a failed and uninspiring presidency.

“He shouldn’t be lecturing anybody,” Trump said.

Bush said at a 9/11 memorial:

“We have seen growing evidence that the dangers to our country can come not only across borders, but from violence that gathers within.

“There is little cultural overlap between violent extremists abroad and violent extremists at home.

“But in their disdain for pluralism, in their disregard for human life, in their determination to defile national symbols, they are children of the same foul spirit.

“And it is our continuing duty to confront them.”
