Sarah Sanders held her first White House briefing in a while and she did not disappoint. She cut right through the noise and ruthlessly exposed the hapless James Comey for all the world to see after her attacked Trump and the GOP.
Comey is the most hated man in America for good reason – the left will never forgive him for sinking Hillary and the right will never forgive him for what he did to Trump – and Sarah treated him as such.
From Newsmax: “I think that the judge does as well which is why he requested additional information, particularly about the way the FBI broke every standard protocol that they have.
“We know that because of James Comey’s actual comments that they threw FBI protocol out the window for one reason only, because it was the Trump administration, and they thought they could and could get away with it.”
While the White House isn’t arguing that Flynn was entrapped, it does argue he was ambushed, said Sanders.
“The FBI, we know, had clear political bias,” said Sanders. “We’ve seen that time and time again.”
“One thing we’re 100 percent sure on, the president made the right decision in firing James Comey because every day we learn more and more all of the things that he did that were so far out of bounds for what the FBI director should do, and we’ll see how that plays out in court today.”
Sanders also slammed Comey’s comments that President Donald Trump is undermining the rule of law.
“I think the last person that we will take any lecture from about the values of this country is from a self-admitted liar and leaker that we know James Comey to be,” said Sanders.
“There is no doubt that he did a tremendous number of things wrong and brought outrageous corruption to the FBI, led it with a political bias that is unheard of at an agency like that.”

Comey stunned reporters earlier when he revealed why he didn’t tell Sally Yates about the Flynn FBI interview – he claimed it was to “defang a potential attack that the interview had been engineered by an Obama holdover.”
“Republicans used to understand that the actions of a president matter,” Comey said. “The words of a president matter, the rule of law matters and the truth matters. Where are those Republicans today?”
“At some point, someone has to stand up and in the face of fear of Fox News, fear of their base, fear of mean tweets, stand up for the values of this country and not slink away into retirement, but stand up and speak the truth,” he said.
Comey also weighed in on Trump going after Michael Cohen and labeling him a “rat”:
“It undermines the rule of law … this is not about Republicans and Democrats. This is about what it means to be an American. What are the things we care about above our policy disputes”
“Look we know Michael Cohen to be a liar on a number of fronts and the President’s opinion is extremely clear on that front. I don’t see any reason to go beyond that comment at this point,” White House press secretary Sarah Sanders says pic.twitter.com/8UnDaU13n7
