Pete Hegseth Calls Don Lemon A Real Moron In Blistering Rebuke Of CNN Anchor

Pete Hegseth is one of President Trump’s favorites on Fox News. His military background makes him straight from central casting and he is a fierce defender of Trump’s agenda.

Pete was traveling last night and was forced to watch Don Lemon on CNN break the news to the world that Mueller had turned in Mike Flynn’s sentencing memo.

To say he didn’t agree with Don Lemon’s conclusions is an understatement.

From Newsweek: Fox news contributor Pete Hegseth launched a barbed attack at CNN host Don Lemon on Wednesday, labeling him a “moron.”

Hegseth, a Fox News senior political analyst and Fox and Friends co-host who has around 140,000 Twitter followers, tweeted he was “forced to watch CNN” while waiting at the airport on Wednesday.

Referring to the CNN anchor and CNN Tonight host, Hegseth wrote: “So clear—@donlemon really is a moron (who elites pretend is smart and insightful). Nothing he says is interesting—all liberal orthodoxy. #FakeNews.”

According to media news website Mediaite, Hegseth unloaded on Lemon as he addressed special counsel Robert Mueller’s filing on Tuesday which stated former national security advisor Michael Flynn should not be sent to prison for lying to the FBI.

Addressing the heavily redacted memo on Tuesday, former federal prosecutor Renato Mariotti told Don Lemon on CNN: “What I think here is Flynn provided information that is allowing Mueller to make a criminal case against someone.”

He continued: “We don’t know who that is. We can speculate or not speculate. But there is certainly somebody out there who has a criminal case that could be coming.”

“There’s really no other way to say this. No other way.

“The president of the United States is having a meltdown.”

“Yes, again. And the reason is very clear,” he added. “Robert Mueller is getting under his skin.

Sean Hannity and Congressman Mark Meadows also did not share Don Lemon’s assessment of the document.

From The Hill: Rep. Mark Meadows characterizing special counsel Robert Mueller’s sentencing report on former national security adviser Michael Flynn as “good news for President Trump” because “there is no mention of collusion.”

“I have looked at this report and, yes, everybody is going to focus on what has been redacted,” the conservative lawmaker told Sean Hannity on Fox News late Tuesday. “Let’s look at what is not in there. There is no suggestion that Michael Flynn had anything to do with collusion. He was with the transition team. He was part of the campaign. And, yet, there is no mention of collusion.”

“I think it’s good news for President Trump tonight that this is what has come down to,” Meadows said. “Even though they said he substantially cooperated, I think he substantially cooperated to say that there was no collusion and we can look at it with that in mind.”
