Passengers Give Magical Sendoff To Children Of Fallen Heroes Flying On Gary Sinise’s Snowball Express

Gary Sinise has been a longtime supporter of our military and he always goes the extra mile. He performs for the troops and raises money for their causes and he takes care of children of our fallen heroes.

In short, Gary Sinise is one amazing, patriotic guy. From Townhall:

In what has become an annual tradition for the Gary Sinise Foundation, their Snowball Express program officially kicked off on Saturday.

Over 1,000 Gold Star families, those who lost a loved one while serving in the military, are being sent to Disney World for a five-day experience.

“While Snowball Express has been around since 2006, this is its first year as an official program of the Foundation and our first year at Disney World,” Gary Sinise said in a press release.

“We are so grateful that American Airlines continues their tradition of traveling our Gold Star families from all around the country for this amazing healing event. We can’t wait to see our 1,722 Snowball family members!”

A total of 12 chartered flights, departing from 26 cities, from American Airlines picked up the Snowball Express families this year.

But the story does not end there – some of the kids were boarding a flight in Nashville when the airport passengers showed their support for these amazing kids.

“I witnessed an international airport come to a complete stop today,” Jen Tringale wrote on Facebook.

“At the Nashville airport I walked out into the concourse to this scene @americanairlines was flying a plane full of children who had lost a parent in combat to Disneyworld on an all expenses paid trip and they threw a party for them at the gate.”

“But when they announced them over the loud speaker and they lined up to board the plane the whole airport literally stopped and sang the national anthem with military present in salute.”

“Most every person standing around, myself included was bawling at the sight of these kids and spouses who have paid so great a price for our country. To see all of this at Christmas time was so humbling. Seeing the general public in an airport stand still to honor these kids was simply beautiful,” she wrote.
