Maxine Waters Sinks Biden’s Campaign With Warning To Pick Black Female VP: “He can’t go home without a Black woman being VP”

Maxine waters just laid down her marker and upset Joe Biden’s VP search and it could cost Joe the 2020 election.

Maxine wants Biden to pick an African American woman as his choice for VP. She said he received tremendous help from the black community specifically Jim Clyburn who saved Biden in the primaries and according to many observers turned the tide and got Joe the nomination.

“We have a responsibility to vote,” Waters said. “We can’t have people going around talking about how wonderful John Lewis was, how much he sacrificed, the beatings that he took, the way that he put his life on the line and we don’t get up and vote. There is no excuse.”

But Maxine was just getting started and issued a threat? A warning? To Biden: “He can’t go home without a Black woman being VP.”

The problem with this line of thinking is it could hurt Biden and end his candidacy. Kamala Harris has too many skeletons and her record as a prosecutor could hurt Biden with the minority vote. Val Demmings also has some past issues with the minority community when she was the police chief of Orlando.

Karen Bass and Val both are not tested nationally and may not fare well in a debate with Pence or trying to command national attention. Liz Warren, however, is actually favored by a lot of African Americans because they are sick of the failed policies of the establishment. In short, Biden doesn’t know what to do and it seems like he will make his pick based on the wrong reasons and that could cost him as his pick with highly scrutinized.

From The Hill:

Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters (Calif.) said in a new interview that she is confident presumed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden will pick a Black woman to be his running mate.

“We know that we’re going to have a Black woman who is going to be the vice president,” Waters told Essence in an interview. “Let me guarantee you this, based on everything that I know and understand, and the help that he has already gotten from the Black community with what [Rep.] Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.) has done, Jim Clyburn, when he hears about this he’s gonna laugh, he can’t go home without a Black woman being VP.”

Biden is expected to reveal his pick for vice president next week. He has so far committed to picking a woman as his running mate and has reportedly strongly considered Black women for the job.
