GOP Rep Mike Rogers Comes Clean, Says He ‘Fears Joe Biden Is Delusional’

Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Ala., ranking member on the House Armed Services Committee, came clean to the nation during Wednesday’s House hearing on the debacle in Kabul saying that he fears President Biden is “delusional.”

Rogers said that Joe Biden’s claims that the botched military withdrawal from Afghanistan was an “extraordinary success” are proof the guy in the White House does not know what he is talking about.

“I fear the President is delusional. This wasn’t an extraordinary success, it was an extraordinary disaster. It will go down in history as one of the greatest failures of American leadership.”

“We’re here today to get answers on how the hell this happened. I expect our witnesses to give us an honest accounting of exactly what went wrong.”

Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said:

“Staying in Baghram even for counterterrorism purposes meant staying at war in Afghanistan, something that the president made clear that he would not do.

“We helped build a state, but we could not forge a nation. The fact that the Afghan army that we and our partners trained simply melted away, in many cases without firing a shot, took us all by surprise and it would be dishonest to claim otherwise.

U.S. Central Command Commander Gen. Kenneth McKenzie said of a drone strike:

“That strike was a mistake, and I take full responsibility for that strike.

“I was under no pressure from any quarter to conduct the strike.

“It was based on our intelligence read of the situation on the ground.

“While in many cases we were right with our intelligence and forestalled ISIS-K attacks, in this case we were wrong, tragically wrong.”
